Femina asked them to prepare their best summer recipe. The sixth candidate to come up against our jury is Laura Vasquez.

Laura Vasquez trusts her instincts and lives life to the fullest. Upon arriving in the Bouveret from her native country of Columbia in January 2013, this 22 year old had the feeling that she was in the right place and admits that she " Had absolutely no idea what to expect. Today I’m convinced that I made the right choice registering with the Culinary Arts Academy of Switzerland." It’s well known that the César Ritz culinary school sitting on the edge of the lake Geneva in the canton of Valais, has created a buzz in the world of gastronomical training. Its world class reputation is attracting more and more students from around the world, on a yearly basis.

The school itself is a cultural melting pot and is one of the things Laura likes the most "I adore being in contact with people from different cultures, while at the same time I’m learning about new products and cooking techniques."

With two years of practice under her belt in Switzerland, Laura feels happy knowing that she has found her true calling and is convinced she will have a career in gastronomical cooking.

She thoroughly enjoyed the cooking competition that Femina organized "I loved the competition. I was able to overcome my anxiety and experience the event as a true gift that I will remember for a very long time."
