They’re young and have chosen to make cooking their profession either by way of a formal education or a training.
Femina asked them to prepare their best summer recipe. The second candidate to come up against our jury is Henrique Yukio Ide.
Henrique Yukio Ide is passionate about becoming a professional chef. This 20 year old Brazilian native left his home town of Mogi das Cruzes in the province of Sao Paolo for Le Bouveret, in the Swiss canton of Valais. He chose to relocate in order to study at one of the world’s most reputable gastronomic cooking schools; the Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland at the César Ritz college. Every year this applied University, nestled on the shore of Lake Geneva, attracts young talent from around the world. Henrique has been following the academic programme accompanied by internships in various five star establishments. At the moment he’s busy slicing, dicing and sautéing to sharpen his skills in the kitchen of the Trois Couronnes hotel in Vevey.
Once Henrique graduates he plans to travel the world and discover other culinary cultures as well as participate in cooking competitions. He dreams of one day opening his own restaurant to share his passion for cooking with his future clients and with students, who like himself, have chosen this wonderful profession.
