Balanced Leadership in the Hospitality World

Wolfgang M. Neumann, President & CEO of The Rezidor Hotel Group, part of Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, alongside members of his executive team and a SHMS student who interns at the company, presented Rezidor’s commitment to talent development to Swiss Education Group Students.

The Rezidor team underlined how research shows that gender equality in companies is an important key to success. In the hospitality industry there are unique challenges that apply to the careers of both sexes including unsociable hours, 24/7 on call duties and mobility.

By implementing a flexible approach to working environments/structures, introducing personalized development plans and a flexible approach to mobility, Carlson Rezidor is on the path to succeed in having more balanced leadership, with the aim to increase women in leadership to 30% by the end of 2016.

Targeted Roundtables and Presentations
To close the day, the team hosted roundtables, presentations and discussions around topics including: Corporate Social Responsibility, Revenue Optimization and Distribution, Social Media and Talent Development.
